The majority of our products are shipped out of our warehouse in Frederick, MD. See Shipping Estimates Chart for information on when to expect your delivery.
We can ship to virtually any address in United States. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to certain destinations.
The majority of our orders are shipped within 2 business days. If for some reason your order cannot be shipped within 3 business days you will be notified by email as to the expected shipping date.
Tracking numbers are sent to the customer once the order has been shipped. Please allow up to 24 hours for the tracking number to show any shipment activity.
Plants and live worms are shipped seasonally or only on certain days of the week. These shipping schedules are listed in the item descriptions. Please read your item description carefully for available shipping times as these orders may take a little longer to arrive depending on the day of the week and weather.
Larger items may require freight shipment. These shipments will require an appointment for delivery. The carrier will call to set up this appointment. Freight shipments require someone be available to sign for the delivery and in some cases, unload the merchandise.
When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping method you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.
Shipping rates based on product order totals
Shipping chart applies only to orders shipping within the continental US¹
¹Alaska, Hawaii, APO's, FPO's and Foreign Orders Will Have Additional Shipping and/or Handling Charges Quoted and Added to Their Order. Customs, duties, and other tariffs are the responsibility of the customer. Some products, such as live plants and fertilizers, cannot be shipped outside the US. Due to new regulations, some items cannot be shipped into California.
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund of the product Price. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.). Customers are responsible for both the return shipping costs and any outbound shipping costs incurred in addition to a 10% restocking fee.
You should expect to receive your refund within two weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
