A vigorous variety with medium to dark green, savoyed leaves accented with white veins and stems. Fordhook Chard has a nice mild flavor which is great to eat like spinach, cut up for salads, steam, or stuffed. Chard is cold and heat tolerant making and is a quick producer at 50-55 days. Gardener’s in colder climates will love this green for its ability to grow year round with protection from a cold frame.
