Product Description

Compost Tumbler: Original ComposTumbler

The original ComposTumbler was developed as a hot composter for faster decomposition of materials. The aerator/drainage units on the doors of the chamber, along with the screened endcaps allow a constant flow of air, so your compost won't stink! Turning the drum is easy because it's gear driven, so it won't slip. The drum of the composter holds 18 bushels, or about 180 gallons of material and sits 27 inches off the ground, so it won't leak into the ground or be bothered by animals. Assembly required.

Composter measures 68 inches high x 50 inches wide x 40 inches deep.

Your ComposTumbler is guaranteed against any defects in the materials or workmanship for 5 years from the date of delivery. We will repair or replace any defective part (or the entire unit if necessary) at our expense. No IFs, ANDs or BUTs. This warranty is given to the original purchaser and is not transferable, nor does it apply to any damage caused by misuse or acts of nature. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which may vary from state to state.

  1. compost tumbler

Posted by Cynthia on 10th May 2012

We will wait until spring 2011 to set up our new Compost Tumbler. We have owned one before when it was sold as "Kemper compost tumbler". It is convenient to fit the wheelbarrel under it for unloading. The screens do need clearing ocasionally. It composted great when the mixture was balanced with wet and dry and green matter. Eventually the barrel and fasteners and frame rusted out after about 7 years. We liked it enough to buy this one.
